About Us

Who we are and where we are going

Our Vision

As a local church, Liberty Life’s existence takes on the general purpose of the universal church but we do have a unique calling and purpose for this region of whom all who participate in this local body are a part. As a part of Liberty Life, we need to be united in a vision that ministry primarily happens out there, not in here! We are equipped ‘in here’ for the work of ministry ‘out there’ and somehow we need to be a part of creating ways ‘out there’ where we join together to advance the Kingdom into culture.

Isaiah 61 is our vision & purpose statement.

Liberty Life is to provide a strong, passionate, daily ministry to the city and region. Our existence is not solely connected to our church building but rather operating beyond our walls and active 24/7 in BEING THE CHURCH.

We are being called to be united in pursuing our unique purpose. In fact, we are asked to PEDAL in unity together with Isaiah 61. What are the primary elements of our ministry?

Proclaim the whole Gospel of the Kingdom of God

“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD. – Isaiah 61:1-2 NKJV,

The Gospel we preach, we teach, we live and breathe is not just confined to salvation from sin unto eternal life. It is also a gospel of healing, deliverance, provision, and freedom to live a life of holiness of heart and life. A gospel that gives us power over sin and all its effects on the human race. It’s a gospel of truth, grounded in the Word, The Word of Jehovah God, Yeshua the Son, and Ruach HaKodesh, the Holy Spirit.

Equip the Saints for the work of Ministry

12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,

13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; – Eph 4:12-14 NKJV

Equipping involves teaching, nurture, as well as hands on train-ing in the ministries of evangelism, healing, deliverance and spiritual cleansing. It involves mentoring and discipleship. It involves knowing who we are in Christ, knowing our Hebraic roots, knowing the purpose and destiny for our lives, and much more.

Demonstrate a supernatural changed life

That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.” – Isaiah 61:3 NKJV

This means not just the talk but the walk. Not just knowing but continually growing. We demonstrate God has begun a work in us. We have been saved and are being sanctified. Our mind is being renewed and it shows in speech and action. Also we demonstrate the power of the gospel: fruit and gifts flow out of our life.

Assimilate the Kingdom of God into culture

And they shall rebuild the old ruins, They shall raise up the former desolations, And they shall repair the ruined cities, The desolations of many generations. – Isaiah 61:4 NKJV

This is big and is that which separates us from the general mindset of the North American church. Taking the initiative in advancing the Kingdom of God in all areas of daily living, not just in the church setting.

I don’t mean here the sense of just blending in or being conformed to culture but rather the idea of penetrating and effecting – to alter the culture by assimilating the kingdom as Isaiah refers to as to rebuild, raise up, and repair.

Assimilate as kingdom leaven in the loaf of culture.

The Parable of the Leaven – A parable He spoke to them: “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till it was all leavened.” Luke 13:20-21

Leave a lasting legacy

Their descendants shall be known among the Gentiles, And their offspring among the people. All who see them shall acknowledge them, That they are the posterity whom the LORD has blessed.” – Isaiah 61:9 NKJV

L- Legacy, lasting impact, longevity

Legacy involves training others to continue on the work of the Lord.

Our impact of the Christian faith in community will not be confined to the time period of one leader or one small group. How many times have we seen a church or a church movement gain attention, make a big impact, and even be in the forefront in changing the society and culture around them, but within a few years the impact or changes have been erased? How many times have we seen big revivals and big surges in attendance in a church or at church events because of a strong leader, but because the ‘move of God’ really didn’t integrate into the culture and cultivate that same passion in the next generation, it faded away?

I can think about the Great Awakenings of the nation, and the Welch revival, and even Azusa street. Tremendous times of awakening and revival yet after a decade or so the fire is gone and the miracles, signs and wonder dissipate. Often the spiritual climate then backslides to levels below where it was before the revival. England was the center of so many revivals and awakenings through the centuries but now is in a state of cold darkness and is quickly being overrun by Islam. At Liberty Life, we want to build a legacy of the Christian faith for the Glory of God.
