What is Liberty Life Center doing in light of CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)?

Amidst concerns surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to let you know we are committed to doing everything we can to provide a safe environment for our church family and surrounding community. The best thing we can do is be prepared and the worst thing is to panic.

What is coronavirus (COVID-19)?

Here is a basic summary:

  1. COVID-19 is a respiratory illness that is spread by close contact (within 6 feet) with another for an extended period of time (30 minutes) – though all professionals acknowledge that we are learning new information daily.
  2. Like almost all viruses, it is mostly spread through people who are symptomatic (showing symptoms), but it is possible for infected individuals to be asymptomatic.
  3. The vast majority of cases in the United States are from travelers or those who have been in close contact with travelers who have imported the virus.
  4. The virus itself, to this point, is not considered a high-risk mortality rate (its mortality rate is not especially high) except in the cases of people of higher risk (people with preexisting conditions, the elderly, young children, and pregnancies).
  5. While some suggest that the mortality rate of the Coronavirus is around 3.7%, the New England Journal of Medicine estimates that its real mortality rate is far less than 1%. The reason for the disparity is a result of disinformation, the number of undocumented cases, the newness of the disease, etc. For more information, see this article: www.google.com/amp/s/www.wsj.com/amp/articles/coronavirus-vs-flu-which-virus-is-deadlier-11583856879.

Ultimately, this is a new virus and we are learning new information daily.

Is Liberty Life Center gathering for our regular Wednesday, Friday Torah study and Sunday services? YES! We are continually monitoring this situation and will make this decision weekly based upon new information. Should we have to cancel, we invite you to join us on Facebook livestream, or gather with a few others and have house church if a physical gathering is not possible or wise. We are The Church when we gather (anywhere in God’s name).

Should people come to Liberty Life if they are feeling sick? We strongly encourage anyone who is feeling sick or running a fever to stay home (and away from small or large group gatherings) and let someone in the church know that you are not feeling well. We want to care for you in any way we can as your church family. Let’s not take chances of exposing others to potential sickness. Particularly if you are elderly or more physically at risk in light of the coronavirus (COVID-19), we encourage you to minimize social interactions during these days while still staying connected to your church family through other means. Specifically, we invite everyone who is unable to come to a physical gathering for any reason to worship online with the church family through Facebook.

What precautions can people take when they come to Liberty Life? Consistently personalize and in faith, speak over yourself, your home, and your family Psalm 91 & 2 Timothy 1:7.

We encourage everyone to take certain steps to protect themselves and others from the coronavirus, flu, and other illnesses, including:

Washing your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds (sing ‘Jesus Love Me’!);

Using hand sanitizer when soap and water is not available;

Not touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands;

Avoiding close contact with people who are sick;

Staying home if you are sick;

Covering your cough or sneeze with the inside of your elbow;

Disinfecting objects and surfaces regularly.

How are we making our gatherings as safe as possible? Liberty Life is taking extra cleaning precautions at this time. This includes:

Wiping down all common area touch points (doors, light switches, countertops, etc.) with a certified disinfectant.

Placing hand sanitizers in common areas throughout the building.

During our Sunday worship gatherings, we will use a safer way to serve communion. In addition, we encourage everyone to take common sense precautions and consider creative interactions (like elbow bumping instead of hand shaking and hugs!)

Please help us get this information to our church family and community. Thank you.

Take care of yourselves! Be diligent and careful, and I’ll see most of you on Sunday!!

God bless each of you!

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Isaiah 26:3

At Liberty Life, it is our goal, by the anointing and direction of the Holy Spirit, to bring individuals to a place of recognizing who they truly are in Christ, and in coming to the revelation of the Truth of the whole Gospel, they will experience the freedom God intends for all of his creation. From salvation to holiness of heart and life, a pathway is established in Sunday services, nurture classes, and small groups to not only assist you in personal growth and freedom but also equip you to turn around and help lead others into that same freedom. Here is a list of our nurture classes on Sunday morning.

Wednesday Night Worship & Word – 6.30 PM

On Wednesday nights we meet corporately for praise and worship as well as teaching, preaching, testimony, and ministry.  This service gives opportunity for more open and spontaneous leading of the Spirit as well as individual sharing.

Gatherings of Prayer

Prayer is the line to the power and presence of God for any church and should never be neglected. Besides prayer during all our services, specific times of prayer are set aside every weekday morning at 6:45 am at The Shepherd’s Place, at 5:45 pm on Wed nights in the church prayer room, at 9:30 am on Sunday morning in the church sanctuary, as well as open prayer at 7:30 am on Sunday morning in  sanctuary.

The apostle Paul spoke to the church in Corinth and said “where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom…And we, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. 2 Cor 3:17-18 NIV

Come and see for yourself and experience new freedom in Christ!

The Cleansing Seminar & Retreat

Dr. Timothy Davis, the founder of Cleansing The Church Ministries, has been in fulltime ministry since 1979. He is most noted as the author of the Cleansing Seminar and Cleansing Discipleship Seminar that hundreds of congregations around the world are using to minister and disciple their flocks.

Today, the Cleansing Seminar, Cleansing Discipleship Seminar, and the Cleansing Our Youth Seminar continue to be the center of Timothy’s teaching. His anointing to set people free and his passion to train others for the harvest are at the core of his ministry. His church visits and personal ministry are attended by the Holy Spirit with the New Testament expression of miracles, wonders and signs.

Over the past three decades he and his wife, Denise, have had the privilege of ministering Jesus’ freedom to thousands who became bound through rejection, fear, rebellion, sexual sins, and drugs. Today these brothers and sisters are free and attribute their freedom to their participation in the Cleansing Seminar.

Liberty Life is pleased to be a partnering church with Cleansing The Church Ministries and a host church for a yearly Cleansing Seminar and Retreat. Gary and Linda Smith have been the pastors at Liberty Life Center since 2007 and have been actively involved with The Cleansing Ministries since 1997.
